From the Compulsory Guild of Seamstresses in Katowice.

The last quarterly meeting of the Guild protested against exorbitant taxes, which are on average 50 to 150 percent higher than what artisans should and could pay.

The last quarterly meeting of the Guild protested against exorbitant taxes, which are on average 50 to 150 percent higher than what artisans should and could pay. For self-defense purposes, it was resolved to dismiss all apprentices and journeymen as of January 1, 1932, close workshops, and not purchase licenses for 1932. Furthermore, it was decided to suspend all charitable activities.

A wish was also expressed that all artisan workshops without exception, as well as individuals working in private homes, be obliged to acquire industrial certificates and pay taxes.
